Career Decisions was appointed to support a global manufacturing organisation during the closure of multiple production facilities across Ireland and the United Kingdom.
The organisation needed to manage the structured wind-down of operations impacting over 1,500 employees across manufacturing, technical, operational and leadership roles. The process required coordinated delivery across jurisdictions, unionised environments and diverse workforce groups, while maintaining dignity, compliance and reputational integrity.
We deployed a cross-border team of career consultants and organisational psychologists to deliver a comprehensive workforce transition programme. Support included onsite and virtual career workshops, individual coaching, executive transition advisory, CV and interview preparation, and structured job search support. We worked closely with local management and HR teams to ensure alignment with consultation process outcomes and tailored programmes across regions.
The closures were supported through a structured and professionally managed transition programme, providing consistent, high-quality support to impacted employees while protecting the organisation’s employer brand during a complex and high-profile operational exit.
